Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 12 March 2023 in 3 no ward tatanagar union under Keraniganj Upazila, Ms. Roksana Begum (House wife) said My daughter got married five years ago, her husband was working abroad and while abroad, he got married to my daughter through mobile phone communication, came to the country and he got married another women again. He doesn't want to take wife to my daughter, so how can I get legal help for my daughter from the district Legal Aid office?
UPLAC Bi-monthly meeting: The UPLAC monthly meeting was held on the date 14.03.2023 Mr. Md. Kamal Udin, Member of taranagar union under Keraniganj Upazila said that today I learned about the Legal Aid support issue so Information is power, we will continue our monthly meeting, the more awareness campaign meetings will doing others union, school and collages, Bazar samity and you can also aware madrasha and masjid committee about this issue and distribution awareness materials and the helpline 16430 number.
School Campaign: At the debate on legal rights and responsibilities held on 13.03 2023 Nikla J A Haque High School, Chauhati Union under Dhamrai, grade-9 Monika Akter said that the District Legal Aid Office take care that the poor people of the village get free legal aid support and not to be discriminated against. When we distribute info cards among people they are taking this well and asking us how we can help ourselves accordingly we are giving them information cards. We will discuss this issue with our neighbors, relatives, family members and other classmates in our class. Many thanks to USAID, Democracy International and Aparajeyo- Bangladesh for organizing such programs today. You will do more such programs in our schools again.
